Studio Hagel Reinvents Adidas Samba with Lacy Touch
  • Published

Studio Hagel, renowned for its avant-garde sneaker designs since 2015, has embarked on a new venture, reimagining the iconic Adidas Samba silhouette. The Amsterdam-based design collective has infused the classic sneaker with a touch of elegance and sophistication, reminiscent of the delicate napkins found in upscale dining establishments.

Elegant Design and Refined Construction

Available in four distinct colorways – white, pink, yellow, and blue – the revamped Sambas feature a soft, crepe-like fabric in place of traditional leather or suede. This innovative material choice adds a unique texture to the sneakers, elevating their aesthetic appeal. Each panel is accentuated with contrasting stitching, while delicate embroidered flowers adorn the trainers, imparting a subtle yet distinct flair inspired by Cecilie Bahnsen’s aesthetic.

Finishing Touches and Signature Branding

Complementing the refined design are light gray cotton laces that seamlessly tie the ensemble together. The original full gum rubber midsole preserves the Samba’s classic silhouette while offering optimal comfort and support. To distinguish these sneakers as a Studio Hagel creation, the lateral sides feature prominent “Hagel” branding, serving as a hallmark of quality and exclusivity.

Adidas’s Dedication to Classic Silhouettes

Adidas continues its commitment to timeless silhouettes in 2024, with the Samba receiving renewed attention and innovation. In addition to the striking colorways like the “Black Gum” crafted in Italy, eagerly anticipated collaborations with esteemed partners such as JJJJound and Mita are set to debut shortly.

Limited Edition Release

While details regarding the release of the Studio Hagel x Adidas Samba collection remain undisclosed, sneaker enthusiasts can anticipate a highly limited launch. If these exquisite creations do become available, they are likely to be found exclusively at Studio Hagel, Adidas outlets, and select global retailers.
