DecoBatten: Enhancing Coastal Duplex Design by DECO Australia

DECO Australia, known for its leading range of architectural timber-look aluminium battens, has contributed a striking design feature to Zephyr and Stone’s latest project, “Coastal2Ways,” located in Queensland.

Introduction to Zephyr and Stone

Zephyr and Stone, an interior design studio led by sisters Ania Forster and Kasia Clarke, prioritize aesthetics and functionality in their design choices. When selecting materials for the facade of their Coastal2Ways project, situated just 500 meters from the ocean, they sought durability against harsh sun exposure and salt spray, along with visual appeal.

DecoBatten Integration

The Coastal2Ways project showcases 116 DecoBattens, finished in DecoWood’s premium timber-look powder coating. These battens serve as a stunning design element, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the duplex. The clean lines of DecoBatten are strategically used as screening devices for the front windows, providing privacy and style simultaneously.
